Fish Design was born in New York in 1995, out of an idea by Gaetano Pesce who used coloured and translucent resins to create a collection of vases, trays, mirrors, baskets and jewellery that he produced through to 1999.
Attracted by the project and its expressive potential, Andrea Corsi committed himself to bringing an end to the long hiatus that followed 1999, the date from which no more objects were produced.
After a year of negotiations, an agreement was reached in 2003 and Fish Design became a company in which the partners are the architect, artist and designer Gaetano Pesce and Andrea Corsi a businessman in the field of design with marketing experience at Cassina and, as joint owner, at Alias. The new collection was presented in the April of 2004.
