A wood for every mood. Wood and mood is an Italian craft company that produces decorative objects and interior design complements in precious woods. Entirely handmade and customizable. The artisan who created the company is Viganò Walter, who was born on the 5 October 1974 in a small village close to Bergamo, Italy. Starting sailing around the world at 21 jump to every kind of boats from traditional vessels to modern and regattas boats. He follow in love for the classic boats where he made the first Atlantic crossing so he spent time restoring and maintaining this kind of vessels in Maine, where he learnt to work with wood and particularly woodturning. There he had the occasion to know many different kinds of woods from exotic to common local woods and started studying segmented woodturning. For few years He came back working in the sailing world .He has lived in La Rochelle for a year and finally came back to Italy, where he built his laboratory. At the moment he realizes many objects for internal furniture design like lamps, boxes, and pens using a mix of material and their natural aspect and character mixed together. Still sailing like font of inspiration in classic boats. The name Wood and Mood is the essence of his thinking: try to realize the objects that get close as possible to the character of the people. The company started in 2010, developing the sale of its products on the Italian market and then opening to international market, like Maison & Objet in Paris.
